{"id":92,"date":"2016-02-29T18:18:36","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T18:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/backontrackhousing.co.uk\/?page_id=92"},"modified":"2018-04-26T16:37:24","modified_gmt":"2018-04-26T16:37:24","slug":"testimony","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/backontrackhousing.co.uk\/?page_id=92","title":{"rendered":"TESTIMONY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The DPS\u2019 donation is helping it expand by offering greater mentoring and training opportunities to clients with the support of its trustees.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Miss M, a beneficiary of the funding, said: \u201cAfter leaving a 10-year toxic relationship I nearly ended my life.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">But Back on Track and The DPS came to my rescue and helped me find a property far away from my victim area.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cThey saved my life with this kind generosity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Mr\u00a0 said: \u201cI was recently released from prison after four years on the street.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cThe council couldn\u2019t help because I am single, but Back on Track accepted me within 24 hours, and I signed my first ever tenancy agreement because of The DPS\u2019s support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0Mr L\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cThank you all.\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Very good service, I came to Back On track on the day and I was housed\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<em>Miss B\u00a0<\/em><\/em><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cVery friendly helpful staff, gave me all the relevant information I needed\u201d\u00a0<\/em><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cI was let down by a system within the community and Back On track saved the day\u201d<\/em><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0I was living on the streets and all I knew was addicts, so I would end up using again. Back on track Housing were fantastic \u2013 they got me housed; within 48 hours I had a place, never leave it there \u2013 Back on track gave me unbelievable support. I think people deserve to be given a second chance \u2013 that\u2019s what sank in. I needed to give myself a second chance. I didn\u2019t know how to live, or get a job or pay my rent and bills. Just having that hand holding service has made a brilliant difference. All the people that see me say that I look so well. \u201cBOTH helped me see all the hurt and pain I was carrying \u2013 they helped me look with a fresh pair of eyes to see myself for who I really was.
